Kasur Excise seals 1,800 properties in March, April

LAHORE: The Kasur Excise and Taxation Department is continuing its crackdown on defaulters of property tax, token tax, professional tax and entertainment tax with full enthusiasm.

Sources told Customs Today that in order to meet the revenue target for the fiscal year 2015-16, the Kasur Excise collected Rs 200 million from defaulters in March and is still tightening the circle to penalise defaulters.

During March and April, the Excise Department sealed 1,800 properties in Kasur, Chunian, Khudian, Raja Jhang, Usmanwala, Kanganpur, Allahabad and other factory areas of the district.

ETO Malik Saleem has directed the field staff to achieve their target within the set time frame and take strict action against defaulters.

The properties that have been sealed include workshops, factories, marriage halls and farm houses.
