FBR recovers Rs 24m from bank accounts of Footlib

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 24 million by attaching the bank accounts of a famous shoes manufacturing company, Footlib (Private) Limited.

According to the sources, the said company was involved in income tax evasion since long. The department issued several notices to the company for the payment of outstanding taxes but it remained reluctant.

Now, the FBR taking legal action seized bank accounts of the company in different banks and recovered Rs 24 million, they added.

The sources added that the FBR has expedited efforts to recover the stuck up taxes from the defaulters in order to meet the revenue target by the end of current fiscal year.
