Faisalabad Adjudication settles 286 cases involving Rs 352.832m in 10 months

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication decided almost 286 cases involving Rs 352.832 million during the first 10 months of the current financial year 2015-16.

Sources told Customs Today that all the Orders-in-Original (ONOs) in the cases were issued in the favour of the Faisalabad Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

The department heard cases of smuggled vehicles, cloth, generator, ceramic tiles, diesel and oil and other miscellaneous items during the said period.

According to details, Customs Adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed settled 23 cases involving Rs 174.666 million, while Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan decided 45 cases involving Rs 84.57 million.

Meanwhile, Deputy Collector Asma Hameed solved 218 cases involving Rs 93.596 million and announced decisions in favour of the Customs Department.
