During the checking, the team intercepted a truck bearing registration no.AJK-06-2354-4 which was coming from Mirpur (AJK). The team members searched the truck and recovered four bags of smuggled Indian origin red chillies and 120 pairs of Indian shoes. When the team asked the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Aziz, about documents proving legal possession of the items he failed to show any relevant documents.

He said that is he is just a driver of truck while these items were booked from Mirpur (AJK) and as the driver he was bound to deliver these items at Lahore but he did not know that these goods are being smuggled.
