Construction of boundary wall around Mughalpura Dry Port begins

LAHORE: Reconstruction of boundary wall around Mughalpura Dry Port has been started as it was damaged due to heavy rain and storm last month.

According to details available to Customs Today, the boundary wall around Mughalpura Dry Port was destroyed due to storms and heavy rain in July and it was dangerous for security of the dry port and staff of Customs Collectorate of Appraisement Lahore. Now the Customs Appraisement of Mughalpura Dry Port has awarded a contract of reconstruction of the boundary wall to a contractor who has started work on it and will complete the work by end of August.

Construction material including, bricks, cement and iron material has also reached on the spot. Meanwhile reconstruction of roads to Mughalpura Dry Port has also completed in a period of one month. Now access to Mughalpura Dry Port has came easy and security measures are also improved, the sources concluded as saying.
