ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has strongly refuted Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s statement accusing FBR Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan of laundering money for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

PTI chief Imran Khan, addressing a political gathering on Saturday, alleged that the FBR chairman is doing money laundering for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Dubai.

A senior official of the revenue body said that it is highly unfortunate that a political party head is levelling allegations without any evidence, which is condemnable.

He rejected the impression that FBR has issued the notice to the people involved in making offshore companies as per Panama papers due to the pressures of Imran Khan or other political party leader.
