Pakistan Customs officials visit US Port of San Diego

ISLAMABAD: A group of four Pakistan Customs officials, who are in US for attending customs border management course, visited Port of San Diego as a part of the study.

The group, comprising Islamabad Customs Collector Dr Arslan Subuctageen, Additional Collector Abdul Waheed Marwat, Lahore Customs Collector Zulfiqar and Quetta Customs Intelligence director, had been sent to attend the course.

On the occasion, the officials were briefed about US Customs laws and customs border management here at Department of Customs and Land Security working under Department of Justice. Later, the US customs department presented shield to the Pakistani officials.

It may be mentioned here that the Pakistan Customs officials following the invitation by US are attending the course herein California and will come back to the country in next week.

Additional Director Abdul Waheed Marwat termed this study tour helpful and full of information, adding that all officials learnt enough in this course. He said, “We were learnt about new aspects of technology and management in customs border management,” adding that it will help improve the management at Pakistan borders.

He also informed that US authorities also hailed the abilities of Pakistan Customs officials, adding that the US will continue such educational and informative courses to polish the skills of customs officials in Pakistan.
