FBR instructs Pakistan Customs to ensure recovery of outstanding dues from defaulters

SIALKOT: Deputy Collector of Model Customs Collectorate Sialkot Waheed Anwar Abro has said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has instructed all customs collectorates to ensure recovery of dues from tax defaulters.  He said that Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is taking keen interest in the recovery and the department has constituted teams for this purpose.

Talking to Customs Today, Abro said that Siakot Customs teams were working under the supervision of Superintendents Sardar Manzoor and Sohail Butt and were taking keen interest in recovering taxes from defaulters.

He said that the Sialkot Customs recovery branch has issued notices to defaulters of million rupees whereas the teams have also completed the process of attachment of properties of defaulters with help of revenue department. The teams contacted to banks concern managements seize the defaulters accounts. Deputy collector told that the defaulters have not contacted to teams after issuance notices while the teams will also get help of Police and other agencies to nab defaulters because these defaulters are giving loss to national economy. He further said that the FBR is making a plan to give relief defaulters if they will pay default amount after receiving notices. He said that the defaulters should pay default amount as a good business man and good citizens for the development of country.
