A data issued by Interior Division showed that during last two years 12,235 illegal Pakistani immigrants have been deported by European countries including 7,275 deportees in 2014 and 4,960 deportess in 2015.

On directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, FIA had initiated a countrywide crackdown on human smugglers and traffickers and it is making hectic efforts for apprehending agents, facilitators and master minds of illegal immigrants and rackets involved in such heinous crimes.

The results of this special campaign are very encouraging and such accused have been arrested. The data said measures had been taken to address issue of human trafficking/smuggling and these included:

Immigration Wing of FIA regulates movement of international passengers at notified border crossing i.e. air, sea and land. The strict control over these entry points leaves a little room for human smugglers to utilize these points.

Moreover, Anti Human Circles have been established in five FIA Zonal Directorates to investigate and prosecute illegal immigrants/travellers.

Meanwhile, the FIA announced that Central Judge has cancelled bail of five accused including three officials of FIA and two agents who were involved in fake Libyan visa scam. They are Zia Ul Hassan, AD/FIA at airport, Inspector Qari Arshad, Head Constable Faisal Aziz, Agent Arsalan and Agent Kamran.

As per details, initially six FIA officials were arrested and after a thorough investigation, three of them were not found involved in the scam.

The policy guidelines of the interior minister are bearing fruits and Pakistan is expected to be pulled out from tier 2 watch list. This would help improve our passport ranking, ease visa restrictions, improve status in nations and ultimately benefit common man.
