FST to hear complaints filed by FBR employees today

ISLAMABAD: Federal Service Tribunal to resume hearing of complaints about ‘seniority’ and ‘dismissal’ on Thursday filed against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) by its employees.

A division bench of Federal Service Tribunal comprising of Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and and Dr Nazir Saeed would resume the hearing of references which it had adjourned with directions to submit reply on certain matters to the FBR.

The cases were filed by Immad Alam, Ajmail Khan, Imran Rafique and Mehdi Hassan. Immad Alam had filed a case about ‘seniority’; Ajmal Khan and Imran Rafique had filed a complaint on ‘dismissal’ and Mehdi Hassan had filed a case about ‘seniority’.

The bench would also hear ‘promotion’ cases filed by Amjad Farooq, Naveed Ali Khan, Shahzad Muhammad Aamir, Gohar Ali, Asim Muhammad, Mehboob Ali, Waqar Ahmed, Sayyar Ahmed, Khan Hameed, Adam Khan, Noor Hussain, Muhammad Mukhtiar and others. These appellants had also submitted complaints about promotion.  They had prayed the tribunal to direct the board in order ensure provision of justice to them.

They had complained that the board had violated rules of FBR by not promoting them to the due scales and offices.

They had submitted that they were being kept deprived of their right to promotion despite serving at the department for years. They pleaded the tribunal to direct the board on ensuring their promotion to due scales entitled to them by law.
