Faisalabad ASO seizes Indian cloth, prohibited medicines in separate raids

Faisalabad: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad seizes smuggled Indian stitched cloths as well as prohibited medicines.

According to the detail, o the directive of the Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Shukat Ali, the officers of the Faisalabad Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) raided on the different areas of the city.

The officers of the Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) intercepted three trucks at the Siyal Mor in Faisalabad and during the search of the trucks Indian stitched cloths of worth millions of rupees were recovered.

The source informed that the smuggled Indian stitched cloths were being shifted from Rawalpindi to Lahore. The value of the Indian cloths in the local market is equal to 79 million rupees. All the three culprits have been arrested and FIR has been lodged against them whereas the further investigation is underway.

The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) in a separate raid in the Faisalabad city has seized 19600 prohibited medicines in a raid at a vehicle. The recovers prohibited medicines values Rs1.96 million in the local market.

The source informed that the during the 18 hours due to the strong network of the informers across the country the Anti Smuggling Organization has conducted three successful raids, one in Karachi and two raids in Faisalabad on different localities during which billions of rupees smuggled goods have been recovered.

The Anti Smuggling Organization officers have conducted successful three on the directives of the Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Shaukat Ali, the source added.
