Faisalabad customs Intelligence confiscates goods worth Rs10.43m in third week of January

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated goods worth Rs10.43 million involving duty and taxes of Rs4.39 million during third week of January of financial year FY2016-17.

According to details, the customs under supervision of Rubab Sikandar, conducted various raids to foil smuggling attempts and registered cases smuggling were against suspects.

Sources said that the customs intelligence seized a huge quantity of goods worth Rs2.38 million involving duty and taxes of Rs1.37 million.

The customs field investigation unit Khushab seized foreign origin auto spare parts worth Rs8.5 million involving duty and taxes of Rs3.2 million during the above said period.

The customs staff including Senior Intelligence Officer Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officers Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Siddique and Sepoys Muzamil Hussain, Israr Ahmed, Liaqat Ali, Muhammad Rafiq, Muhammad Iqbal and Mussaddaq Ahmed participated in the seizure operations.
