ISLAMABAD: All the branches of National Bank of Pakistan will remain open and observe extended working hours from 9:00am to 8:00pm on March 31 (today) for collection of duties and taxes.
All the NBP branches have been directed to ensure compliance of following operational instructions with regard to collection and settlement/clearing of federal and provincial government transactions on March 31.
Under the instructions, the NBP branches will settle their transactions on same day ie March 31 with respective SBP BSC offices for which a special clearing will be arranged at 5:00pm by NIFT and NBP will settle the transactions with SBP BSC by 10:00pm. Further to facilitate taxpayers, the NBP branches will accept cash transactions at their counters till 8:00pm on March 31.
