FBR capable of achieving revenue target: Dr. Irshad

LAHORE: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Dr. Mohammad Irshad has said that the FBR is capable of achieving assigned revenue collection target for fiscal year 2016-17.

Addressing the participants of a seminar held in corporate office, he said that the FBR officials first focus on their responsibilities instead of asking for their rights. He said that he will use every available forum to highlight problems being faced by them.

Dr. Irshad said that FBR is considering to bear the educational expenditures of low cadre employees. FBR chairman said that all the legal options will be considered before raiding any premises. He said that process of recoveries will be made more transparent.

Prominent among those who attended the seminar includes Chief Commissioner Corporate Regional Tax Office Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi, Commissioner Yasmeen Fatima, Commissioner Sadia Sadaf Gilani, Commissioner Aftab Alam, Commissioner Moammad Irfan Raza, Commissioner Mohammad Nasir Khan Ghauri, Commissioner Subhan Bhatti. Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office-II Khawaja Adnan Zaheer was also present on the occasion.

Multan Collector Saud Imran, Collector Faisalabad Mohammad Sadiq, Chief Commissioner Central Regional Zeba Hai and other prominent officials were also present during the seminar.
