Islamabad AFU generates Rs937.6m more revenue than allocated target in 2016-17

ISLAMABAD: The Air Freight Unit (AFU) Islamabad earned Rs937.6million more revenue during Financial Year (FY) 2016-17 under the head of Customs Duty (CD) than the assigned revenue collection target for the same period. The AFU received Rs2396.60million of CD during Financial Year (FY)2016-17 whereas it was assigned with Rs1459.00million of revenue collection under the same head during July to June FY2016-17.

According to Shahid Jan, Deputy Collector AFU, the performance has been tremendous during FY2016-17 under the head of CD against the allocated revenue target of CD. The AFU generated Rs444.56million of CD during June FY16-17 against the earmarked target of Rs395million under the same head.
He told CT that the AFU earned Rs205.31million during May FY16-17 against the assigned target of Rs319.00million under the same head whereas the AFU got Rs219.14million of CD against the target of Rs225million. During the month of April FY16-17, the AFU was assigned with the collection of Rs255million of CD whereas it received Rs196.00million under the same head.
During March FY16-17, the AFU was assigned with the collection of Rs225.00million of CD whereas it generated Rs219.14million under the same head. During February FY16-17, the AFU got Rs159.72million against the allocated target of Rs185.00million. During the month of January, the AFU earned Rs211.76million of CD.
