Peshawar Customs seizes NDP goods worth Rs18m during different crackdowns

PESHAWAR: The Custom squad in separate crackdown have seized non custom paid goods worth of Rs18 million and shifted the recovered items along with vehicles to respective custom stations.

In first crackdown Custom Shergarh station recovered 55 Hyundai generators, wielding Rods 203 cartons, shampoo 21 cartons, Hino truck of total value Rs4.9 million. The total value of goods was Rs4.9 million.

In second operation in Nowshera the custom squad recovered 1340 yards cloth, Isuzu bus, and foreign origin cloth. The total value of the seized item in Nowshera was Rs5.6 million.

In separate raid in Peshawar the mobile squad recovered 1586 yards cloth, Suzuki LET 6811, 10 Samsung TVs 32 inch, four Samsung TV 40 inch, cigarettes paper 130 rolls, Pine cigarette 39600 sticks and one Suzuki pick-up.

The items also include foreign origin cloth of 7500 yards, two non custom paid cars U/S 157, wielding electrode of 400 kilogram, foreign origin A/S cloth 5010 yards, curtain cloth 470 kilogram, 58 tyres, the seized item in Peshawar were worth of Rs8.6 million.

Similarly mobile accessories and batteries recovered in Kohat were worth of Rs0.3 million. The custom crackdown against non custom paid vehicle is also continued and several non custom paid vehicles have been recovered.
