GB Station generates Rs14.17m surplus duties & taxes during three months and 10 days

ISLAMABAD: The Collectorate of Gilgit-Baltistan collected surplus revenue with Rs14.17million of all duties and taxes during three months and 10 days (July to 10th October) Financial Year 2017-18 against revenue collection during the same period of Financial Year 2016-17.

According to details given by sources of Model Customs Collectorate Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) that, during above said period, the GB earned Rs1153.62million of all taxes while it did Rs1139.45million under the same head during July to 10th of October of corresponding FY16-17.
During first 10 days of October FY17-18, the GB generated Rs115.36million as all duties and taxes whereas it did Rs114.84million of revenue under the same head. The GB showed 0.45 % of growth against the same period of last Financial Year. During first 10 days of October FY17-18, the GB received Rs48.12million of Customs Duty while it did Rs52.18million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17.

Sources told CT that, during initial 10 days of current month FY17-18, the GB got Rs48.24million as Sales Tax (ST) whereas it did Rs44.04million of ST during the same period of FY16-17.
During 10 days of October FY17-18, the GB earned Rs19.00million as Withholding Tax (WHT) while it did Rs18.62million of WHT during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
