IRSA releases 104,400 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 104,400 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 42,900 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1465.00 feet, which was 85.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 25,100 cusecs and outflow as 48,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1160.70 feet, which was 104.70 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 6,400 cusecs and 45,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 55,900, 43,400 and 7,400 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River 4,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 3,000 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
