ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region surpassed its proportional allocated revenue target during first three weeks with an extra amount of Rs444.45million.
According to details given by official sources of the Customs North Region, consisting of Customs Collectorates of Islamabad, Peshawar, Gilgit-Baltistan and Samberial, that the performance of said collectorates performed well during first three weeks of the current month of November Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.
The sources told CT that, during above said period, the Islamabad Collectorate was assigned a proportional revenue target of Rs913.89million of all taxes whereas it earned Rs1056.96million. Sources added that the collectorate received Rs782.56million under all the heads during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
The Customs Collectorate Peshawar was earmarked a proportional revenue target of Rs1308.30million of all taxes during first three weeks of November FY17-18 while it generated Rs1444.70million. Sources added that the collectorate collected Rs1066.61million under all the heads during three weeks of previous November FY16-17.
An official of the North Region told CT that Collectorate of Samberial was assigned Rs.-156.20million under all the heads whereas it earned Rs6.5million under the same head during first three weeks of November FY17-18 while collectorate received Rs.-49.40million during the same period of corresponding November FY16-17.
Sources further told CT that Collectorate of Gilgit-Baltistan was allocated a proportional revenue target of Rs359.09million as all taxes while it did Rs361.18million. Sources said the collectorate collected Rs307.35million under all the heads during three weeks of previous November FY16-17.
