Multan Customs impounds tampered vehicle during road checking

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized tampered vehicle during their routine road checking.

Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded a foreign origin Toyota Vitz car which was moving in the city. Customs teams impounded the vehicle from Dera Adda  Gujjar Khada Multan. The customs team seized the vehicle bearing registration number MNA-07/1191.

The vehicle was found cut and weld during their physical examination .Said owner Muhammad Hussain produced original documents to prove legal possession of the said vehicle. Customs staff of Anti-Smuggling Organization found chassis and engine number of the said vehicle tampered during physical examination. Multan Customs took the vehicle into their custody and formed seizure report of the said vehicle.

Multan Customs teams shifted the seized vehicle in the state warehouse of the Multan Customs. The net value of the seized vehicle is Rs700, 000. Further investigations into seized vehicle were still under way.
