Islamabad Customs performs lucratively by generating Rs1596m of revenue

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad earned an extra revenue of Rs1596million as all duties and taxes during five months and 12 days of Financial Year 2017-18.

According to details explained by official sources of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad that, during above said period, the MCC Islamabad received Rs7455.05million of all taxes whereas it was allocated a revenue collection target of Rs5858.65million. During corresponding five months and 12 days of December FY16-17, the Customs Collectorate Islamabad generated Rs5516.87million as all taxes.
The sources told Customs Today that, during five months and 12 days of FY17-18, the collectorate showed 27.25% increase against an earmarked proportional revenue collection target under all the heads while the Collectorate of Islamabad demonstrated 35.13% of growth during said period against the same period of previous FY16-17. The collectorate has been earmarked a revenue collection target of Rs6655.91million under all the heads for the period of July to December FY17-18.
The MCC Islamabad received Rs672.32million under all the heads against an assigned proportional revenue target of Rs503.53million under all the heads. In this way, the collectorate got Rs168.79million extra revenue against an allocated revenue target under all the heads for 12 days of December FY17-18 whereas the Collectorate of Islamabad collected Rs518.61million during the same period under the same heads during corresponding FY16-17.
