NAB seeks details about Sharifs from foreign secretary

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has called Foreign Affairs Secretary Tehmina Janjua and sought all verified documents regarding the London flats to file interim reference against the Sharif family.

NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal on Friday held meeting with Secretary Foreign Affairs Tehmina Janjua and discussed the matter relating to Mutual Legal Assistance sought in the cases in Supreme Court as well Panama case.

However, the official statement of the NAB after the meeting between NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal and Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affair Tehmina Janjua restricted it to stating that matters relating to mutual interests were discussed. According to sources, the NAB chairman asked the foreign ministry to expedite the process of Mutual Legal Assistance for getting the required documents through diplomatic sources.
