Pakistan Customs asked to notify organizations, foreign institutions having trade with Iran

ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Iran in Pakistan has asked Pakistan Customs to notify the organizations and foreign institutions having trade with Iran to enlist them for verification of certificate of Iranian origin by electronic system through website Http://chambertrust.ir/co.

Secretary (Enforcement and Coordination) Abbas Ali Babar has asked the Chief Collector Enforcement and Chief Collector (Appraisement) Karachi, Chief Collector Enforcement Quetta, Chief Collector Central Region and Chief Collector North to take up the matter with relevant institutions and organizations having trade with the above said addresses for necessary action.

Customs Today has received the copy of letter which was forwarded by the Embassy of the Republic of Iran in Pakistan to the Chief Customs International FBR via MOF (Ministry of foreign affairs) Pakistan. The Embassy narrated in its correspondence that Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has launched an electronic system for inquiry of certificate of origin for organizations and foreign institutes having trade with Iran under addresses given at the following website: Http://chambertrust.ir/co.

The Embassy of Iran has further asked that the issue should be addressed to the Ministry of Commerce, FPCCI (Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry), trade development organizations and Pakistan Customs for its implementation and further action.
