Directorate of Reforms, Automation sends draft rules for air cargo to customs preventive

KARACHI: Directorate of Reforms and Automation (Customs) Karachi has sent the draft rules for air cargo manifest to Model Customs Collectorate (Preventive), Lahore.

The directorate said in its letter titled, Draft Rules for Import General Management Module, “The attached air cargo manifest has been carefully examined and finalized after detailed scrutiny and consultations with all the stakeholders and this has enabled the Directorate to roll out the Manifest smoothly.”

The module is ready for implementation at all the Air Freight Units of Pakistan Customs at all the airports on 6 January 2015.

The air manifest would not only be implemented at the three most busy airports of the country, that is  Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad but it would also be implemented at Quetta, Peshawar and Faisalabad airports simultaneously on 6 January.
