Multan I&I earns Rs70.4m through auction of vehicles & goods

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation  (I&I) generated almost Rs70.4 million through auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

According to details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation conducted public auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods. The auction was carried out for generation of handsome revenue. Auction was conducted in the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office near Raja Pur Edhi Village Khanewal Road. The approved vehicles and miscellaneous goods were offered in the auction of Customs Intelligence and Investigation after approval from the Federal Board of Revenue.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan sold out 18 vehicles out of 22 vehicles including Honda Inspire, Honda Civic ,Suzuki Jimny Jeep, Toyota Prius Toyota Aqua ,Toyota Corolla Altis ,Toyota Hilux Surf ,Toyota Vitz ,Toyota Fielder and others different models. Confiscated vehicles were sold out in Rs43.6 million during auction. Four vehicles were rejected due to fewer bid price offered than reserved price during auction of Customs Intelligence.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has also sold out seven lots of miscellaneous goods in the auction in almost Rs.26.8 million which includes cloths, tyres, bed sheets Rolls, Iron & Steel Scrap, old and used HTV Rims, Magnesium Powder and others. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office offered all those vehicles and various goods which were ripped up and their seizure cases were properly concluded after the adjudication of seized goods.

Superintendent Hafiz Muhammad Younas and other Customs Intelligence staff supervised the auction process along with auctioneer.
