ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate collector Zeba Hai has ordered to speed up the process of revenue recovery. The non duty paid cars will be auctioned in the next month. The revenue collected in the previous months was one hundred and forty percent more than the given target. The collector has given instructions to prevent illegal trade and corruption.

Talking about the seizure of alcohol she said that a great amount of revenue could be generated by selling it. But the shariat court has given clear directions in this regard that alcohol recovered from a Muslim cannot be sold. Contrary to it if it is recovered from a non Muslim, it is allowed to sale it for the collection of revenue. Both Muslims and non Muslims were involved in the smuggling of alcohol. Collector Zeba has also written to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to establish forensic lab in Islamabad.
