Abtran company to create 100 new jobs at offices in IFSC

DUBLIN: Abtran company which provides customer and business process management services, is to create 100 new jobs at its offices in the IFSC, the company confirmed on Monday.

The Cork-headquartered, Irish-owned firm said the new roles will include data analysts, applications developers, digital media specialists and project managers.

The move comes as the company announced an expansion of its consulting and technology services division, which currently employs 50 people. The expansion is supported by Enterprise Ireland.

Established in 1997, Abtran has an extensive client base across the public and private sectors which includes Irish Water, the Road Safety Authority, the Health Service Executive, Aviva, and Sky . It employs about 2,000 people in Ireland overall.

“This expansion is a great opportunity for our employees to grow and develop their careers with Abtran. Our consulting and technology services are about adding value to our clients whilst giving our employees an opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical, hands-on way,” said chief executive Michael Fitzgerald.

Separately, Pepper Ireland, the mortgage provider that also manages loan portfolios for other groups, announced plans to take on 50 people in Dublin and Shannon.

Recruitment for the new roles is to get underway immediately with the company saying it is looking for experienced hires and graduates with a particular focs on commercial mortgages and real estate.

This is the second jobs announcement by the group in the last 18 months and will bring total employment numbers to approximately 350 by the start of 2016.
