Accused Czech lady heroin smuggler to be indicted in next hearing

LAHORE: The Special Court has adjourned the case of the Czech lady smuggler for next Tuesday for charging her with the crime.

On the other hand, the court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for the accused named Haroon Afridi wanted in connection with the case of the lady smuggler arrested for smuggling of huge quantity of heroin. He was wanted in the case as facilitator and supplier of heroin recovered from the Czech Model Treza.

Earlier, Czech woman, carrying nine kilogram of heroin, was held at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. The 21-year-old model was attempting to smuggle the heroin from Lahore into Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan Customs had registered a case under Pakistan Customs Act-1969 and shifted her to customs lockup for further process. Sources confirmed that the lady smuggler maintained that she knew that something is hidden in the bag but doesn’t know that there is heroin in the bag. She said during investigation that earlier she had visited Gujranwala and Lahore for three times.
