ADC Beelumur Ramzan issues final notices in nine cases

FAISALABAD: Additional Collector Adjudication Beelamur Ramzan has issued final dates for hearing of nine pending cases involving duty/taxes around Rs 14.5 million.

During the last hearing, notices were issued to three suspects through Mianwali Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), directing them to appear on June 25, 2016. It is necessary to mention here that the ASO impounded a Toyota Hilux double cabin, Toyota Premio, and a used Hino truck. The adjudication authority issued notices to the owners of the vehicles who were identified as Asghar Hussain and Atta Ullah.

Four more cases were forwarded by the ASO Faisalabad. These seizures involved smuggled Indian tea, and non-duty paid vehicles. The adjudication issued notices to Muhammad Umar, Ijaz Hussain and others and asked them to appear on July 18, 2016.

The additional collector also issued two others final hearing notices to Riaz Hussain who was found involved in tax evasion of around Rs 2.3 million while importing cigarettes, cloth and baby shoes. In another case, the adjudication issued notice to one Khuram Altaf who is allegedly involved in non-duty paid vehicles and directed him to appear on May 10, 2016

Adjudication issued final notices to to Painda Khan who is nominated in non-duty paid LED, TV kits, case. This case is forwarded by ASO Sargodha.
