FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelum-ur-Ramzan has issued a show cause notice to a suspect who is allegedly involved in smuggling of foreign origin Toyota Noah car .
The Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounded a foreign used Toyota Noah car bearing registration no. LES- 12- 7715 , Islamabad. A Customs Intelligence team established a check post near Guttwala Toll Plaza , Faisalabad and intercepted the vehicle but the driver did not stop. However, the customs team chased the vehicle, but the driver escaped leaving behind the car.
The Customs Intelligence officials impounded the vehicle and tried to trace the driver but failed. The Customs Adjudication issued notice to the suspect on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969.
The culprit has been directed to file reply in their respective case on 5.12.2016. The cases of vehicles might be decided in the next hearing.
