Additional Collector Imran declares seizure of non-duty paid vehicle as legal

ISLAMABAD: Additional Collector Adjudication Imran Chaudhary has declared the confiscation of a non-duty paid smuggled Ford van as legal.

According to the Order-in-Original (ONO) no 26/2017, the customs team forwarded a seizure case of non-duty paid vehicle Ford van bearing registration no. BMA 440 Balochistan having chassis no. SFALXXBDVLTA 71402 Model 1994. The vehicle was recovered from Muhammad Amjad son of Muhammad Yusaf, a resident of Attock, after he failed to produce any evidence or documentary proof regarding legal import or lawful possession of the vehicle.

After the adjudication of the case, it has been decided that under the provision of the law, that the vehicle Ford van will be put for auction in accordance with the procedure laid down under section 201 ibid.

The Assistant Collector Adjudication has issued ONO under section 169 (4) of the Customs Act 1969, to the owner of the car. If no reply is received within the seven days of the issuance of this notice, vehicle will be disposed of trough auction.
