Additional Collector Raja Tahir Majeed declares seizure of goods as lawful

FAISALABAD: Additional Collector Raja Tahir Majeed has issued an Order-in-Original (OnO) in favour of Anti-Smuggling Organization, Faisalabad.

Sources informed Customs Today that the ASO received information that a huge of smuggled is being transported from Lahore to Faisalabad through Mazda mini-truck bearing registration plate no. LES -11-6067.

The ASO team intercepted the truck and recovered foreign origin cigarettes, curtain cloth, aluminum foil and miscellaneous items from it.

On  demand, the driver of the truck namely Tanveer Ahmad son of Ghulam Rasool to produce any documentary evidence of the lawful possession of the goods.

Therefore, the ASO team seized the goods and forwarded the case to customs adjudication. After concluding the hearing the customs adjudication declared confiscation of goods as lawful.
