Additional Collector Saima Aftab issues notice to owner of non-duty paid vehicle

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab issued a show cause notice to suspect in non-duty paid Toyota car and auto parts case involving Rs2.86 million.

As per the details, Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation following information impounded a used a Toyota car bearing near Jhang Road loaded with different types of Auto parts

The team asked the driver of the vehicle Nasir Zafir  show documents regarding legal import of the vehicle and goods but he could not produce the same.

Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle and goods under the customs laws and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further legal action.

Now, Additional Collector Saima Aftaf issued notice to the accused person on the violation of Section 10-A 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969.

However, the adjudication has directed the accused to file a reply on the next date of hearing. The seizing agency has also been directed to file a reply in the case.

The adjudication authority also directed Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Mirza Mubsshir Bhaig to attend the hearing on schedule date along with relevant record.
