Additional Collector Saima Aftab issues ONO in favour of FIU Khushab

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in favour of the Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) Khushab.

Sources told Customs Today that FIU Khushab team received information and intercepted a Toyota vehicle bearing registration No. MC- 844 Islamabad Model 2003 near Jaba MM  Road district Mainwali.

The driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Akhtar Shah son of Muhammad Ramzan and Waheed Akhtar who is owner of the vehicle, failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle.

The FIU team seized the vehicle and sent its chassis for forensic test. The report says that the vehicle chassis number was bogus and was not original. The report has clarified that present chassis number is not original and that the vehicle seized in case is non-duty paid and smuggled one.

Additional Collector Saima Aftab Issued Order in Original (ONO) in favour of the FIU under section 156(1)89(i) of the Customs Act 1969.
