Adjudication ADC Saima issues show cause notice to vehicle’s smuggler.

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab has issued a show cause notice to a suspect involved in smuggling of Toyota Hiace Van worth Rs 3 million.

The additional collector served notice on the accused party through Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

As per details, the Faisalabad Customs Intelligence made a case against Muhammad Akmal following the charges of using non-duty paid foreign origin Hiace Van bearing Registration No 10-6580 Model 2007.

The intelligence staff impounded the van near Chowk 18 Hazari Bhakkar Road, Jhang city under Section 2(s) 16 and 18 read with section 2(s) of the Customs Act, 1969, as the owner could no show any documents regarding legal import of the vehicle.

The intelligence team after impounding the van made a seizure case against him and sent to Customs Adjudication for further legal action.
