Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam orders to release diesel, oil tanker

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam Ramazan ordered the release of confiscated diesel and oil tanker, and refused the allegation of Faisalabad Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) against the respondent.

As per details, the ASO had intercepted an oil tanker bearing Registration No. TLJ-165 near Qasuria Police Check Post, Bhakkar and recovered 40,000 litres of diesel. When asked, the driver, named Sher Abbas and helper, Abid Hayat revealed that he was transporting the diesel from Dera Ismail Khan to Kotla Jam.

They further stated that they loaded the high speed diesel oil from PSO Depot, Mehmood Kot and going to deliver the same at Mudassar Petrol Pump. Over finding it non-satisfactory, the team impounded the oil tanker along with diesel and forwarded the case to the adjudication.

Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan heard the case where the seizing agency could not prove the charges established in the show cause notice. Therefore, the court ordered to release the diesel and oil tanker unconditionally to its lawful owner.
