Adult/patient diapers’ values revised

KARACHI: Directorate General of Customs Valuation revised the customs values of adult/patient diapers vide Valuation Ruling No.935/2016 under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.

The directorate had circulated the customs values for reference purpose vide Valuation Database Letter No. 13 dated June 29, 2016. However still many references were being received at the directorate that there were issues in uniform applicability of the reference values.

Therefore, an exercise was initiated to determine the values of adult/patient diapers afresh.

The customs values of adult/patient diapers under PCT 9619 of all origins are fixed at $3.25 per kilogramme. The customs values of low end brands of adult/patient diapers under PCT 9619 of China origin are fixed at $2.05/kg, of Indonesia/Malaysia/UAE at $2.80/kg, of Turkey at $2.35/kg of Vietnam at $2.0/kg and other origins at $2.8/kg.
