After eight-month gap, 600 CNG stations opened for 20 days in Punjab

ISLAMABAD: About 600 CNG stations in Punjab have been opened for twenty days after a long gap of eight months, said All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) President Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha.

Paracha, in a statement, said that the number of operational CNG station in the province will be increased to 1000 in the coming few days. He said that after twenty days, CNG stations would be closed for 3-4 days and then it will be reopened again so that masses could get affordable fuel for 20 to 22 days a month.

Paracha said that the CNG stations that had paid advance for LNG supply started getting gas supply after arrival of LNG shipment from Qatar. Now CNG is available across Punjab and on all the important points in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore and other cities, he maintained.

The revolutionary decision of the government will have a positive impact on CNG sector, environment, oil import bills, transport fares and foreign exchange reserves, he said, adding that now there would be no line on the CNG filling stations.
