Air Fright Unit collects Rs 2537.66m in Feb

KARACHI: The Air Fright Unit (AFU) of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive has collected revenue of Rs 2537.66 million in February 2015 under the head of Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax (ST), Additional Sales Tax (AST), Withholding Tax (WHT) and Federal Excise Duty (FED).
According to the revenue statistics, the Air Freight Unit (AFU) has collected an amount of Rs 855.38 million under the head of Customs Duty (CD) in February 2015 while it was Rs 692.99 million in January.
The AFU has collected an amount of Rs 996.82 million under the head of Sales Tax including the sum of additional sales tax February-2015 while it was collected a sum of Rs 993.36 million in January 2015.
The unit has collected the revenue of Rs 685.46 million under the head of Withholding Tax (WHT) in February 2015 while the unit collected Rs 642.37 million January 2015.
The AFU has collected a meager amount of Rs0.01million under the head of Federal Excise Duty (FED) in February 2015 while it collected Rs 0.03million in the same head in January 2015.
Enforcement (South) Chief Collector Nazim Saleem and MCC Collector Preventive Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda expressed their satisfaction over the increase in revenue collection of AFU as compared to the previous month January.
