KARACHI: The Air Freight Unit has detected 700 percent under-invoicing in clearance of imported consignments.
Sources told Customs Today that the AFU detected under-invoicing items which were being cleared at the rate of $668 by Dyna Pharma (Private) Limited for importing waste material “yepam” while the actual value of imported waste material is $5555. Sources said that national kitty bears a loss of Rs 845,654 through this mis-declaration. Air Freight Unit already sped up efforts to curb under-invoicing in clearance of consignments.
