AFU Export Section gets Rs932.93m of business during 15 days of June

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Export Section of Air Freight Unit (AFU) earned business of Rs932.93million during 15 days (1st June to 15th of June) of Financial Year 2016-17 whereas it cleared export consignments of 1,419 Goods Declarations (GDs) under both ends WeBOC and One Customs.

According to Deputy Collector Tahir Khattok, mango season has started and the AFU exported mangoes of Rs1.3million during the initial 15 days of June 2016-17 while exports of leather, surgical goods and meat are also going on. The AFU exports showed satisfactory performance during the initial 15 days of current month. During said period, the AFU earned handsome business from both ends as Export Department processed 1,240 GDs by WeBOC while it processed 179 GDs through one customs.
During May FY16-17, the Exports Section got business of Rs636.52million whereas it cleared exported shipping bills under both ends WeBOC and One Customs. During the first 15 days of April FY2016-17, the Exports Section processed 936 GDs while the Exports Section processed 783 GDs through WeBOC and 143 GDs processed by One Customs. The Exports Section received business through WeBOC undervalued Rs839.097million and through One Customs it did business undervalued Rs2.5millions.
Regarding the performance of first 09 months (July to March) FY2016-17, Dr. Tahir said the Exports Section entertained about 19,002 Goods Declaration (GDs).
