Agha Shahid yet to take charge as Member Technical Customs Appellate Tribunal

ISLAMABAD: Agha Shahid Majeed, recently appointed Member Technical (BS-21) at Customs Appellate Tribunal, Peshawar has not yet taken charge of the office.

According to tribunal officials, kind of administrative measures were being delayed as he had not taken charge of the office at Peshawar office. The ministry is likely to make more appointments at different stations, they said.

According to details, Agha Shahid’s appointment was made by the federal government in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section 3 of section 194 of the Customs Act, 1969. It was further stated that the appointment was made for the period of three years.

The Ministry had also notified appointment of Syed Tanveer Ahmed as Member Technical (BS-21) at Customs Appellate Tribunal, Karachi who had taken charge of the office recently.

According to details, the appointment was made by the federal government in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section 3 of section 194 of the Customs Act, 1969. It was further stated that the appointment was made for the period of three years.

The notification had been delivered to the several offices of state including the Cabinet division, Establishment division, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Customs Appellate Tribunal and others.
