LAHORE: The agriculture department has termed crysopa insect is useful for preventing the cotton crop from attack of different insects.
Punjab agriculture department sources said on Wednesday that the insect eats 329 larvas of white fly, 288 “Sabz tela” and 100 “Sust tela”.
Sources said that the department had expedited the breeding work of crysopa insect and the agriculture department would provide this insect to the farmers free of cost. The department has also started preparing Trichogramma insect as it also eats those insects which were harmful for the crop, Agriculture experts said that insects which were harmful for the cotton crop protect themselves by hiding in alternate plants or other vegetables, sources added.
