Responding to a query, the sources said that the AIB would send the list to Collector Appraisement-West Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi for final approval.

It is pertinent to mention here that Collector Appraisement-West Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi directed the officails last week to scrutinize the import data under SRO450. SRO455 and SRO650.

Replying to another query, the sources said that the AIB is likely to take legal action from the start of the next week against those importers who misused the SROs. It may be mentioned here that a huge amount of revenue is likely to be collected after legal action is taken against the importers.
