In another recovery case, the AIB officials with the consent of Collector Muhammad Saleem and Additional Collector Nayyar Shafiq had issued demand notice for recovering Rs 133,594 against the importer Genix Pharma in which the AIB officials found that the importer had taken undue benefit of SRO-551(I)/2008 and SRO-567(I)/2006 in clearance of their pharmaceutical consignments through goods declaration No 62284.

The AIB while continuing its efforts towards recovering the evaded amount has also raised short recovery demand notice amounting Rs 176,828 against the importer Stanley Pharma in violation of SRO-551(I)/2008 and SRO-567 (I)/2006 in clearance of consignments through GD No 14100.

The AIB has already recovered millions of rupees from different importers who were involved in misusing the SRO 551(I)/2008 and SRO 567(I)/2006.

The sources added that the collector has directed the authorities concerned of AIB/R&D to unearth and detect the evaded amount.

The sources also revealed that the AIB/R&D authorities have decided to scrutinise the clearance data of the importers under SRO-1125(I)/2011.
