Air Freight Unit recovers bottle of foreign origin alcohol

FAISALABAD: The Air Freight Unit of Faisalabad has recovered one bottle of foreign origin Black Label worth Rs 1,500.

Sources told Customs Today that Superintendent AFU Traffic Naeemur Rehman has formed special team after receiving information about the smuggling attempt. Amjad Iqbal Cheema, Ghulam Murtaza Anjum, Muhammad Khalil (inspector) and Ghulam Ghous, Abdul Sattar (sepoys) were among the team.

The AFU team conducted raid and recovered a bottle of foreign origin liquor from the possession of a passenger namely  Muhammad Ashraf passport no. AG0798503, who had arrived at Faisalabad airport form Dubai.

The authorities have seized the liquor under the law contravention section 15 and 16 of the Customs Act 1969 and submitted a report to the adjudication.
