LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force has arrested an accused at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, and recovered heroin worth Rs 15 million.
As per the details, the staff of ANF and customs deployed at the Lahore airport following the dubious behaviour of a passenger, Tariq, intercepted him to check the luggage.
The officials, while searching the possessions of the passenger, recover a quantity of the heroin worth Rs 15 million. The accused wanted to smuggle the drugs to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The officials said that a first investigation report (FIR) regarding the case has been registered against the accused following his arrest, while further investigation was underway in this regard.
