ANF foils attempt to smuggle heroin from Lahore airport, African woman arrested

LAHORE: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) team deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday foiled an attempt to smuggle heroin and arrested a African woman who belonged to Ghana.

Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Narcotics Force at Lahore airport, during routine checking, intercepted a woman passenger namely Ado Gladey Belonhs and recovered heroin which was hidden in her luggage in very technical way.

On finding heroin in luggage, ANF arrested the passenger. the ANF found 600 gram costly and superior quality heroine in the luggage. Amount of the heroin is more than Rs 6 million in international market. The arrested passenger was travelling from Turkey to Lahore via private airline flight. ANF has shifted the accused to unknown place for further investigation and prosecution.
