ANF foils bid to smuggle 1.1kg heroin at Karachi airport

KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled a bid to smuggle 1.1 kilogramme heroin at Jinnah International Airport and arrested two suspects.

According to spokesman, the ANF personnel acting on a tipoff intercepted a passenger, Syed Rizwan Haider Zaidi, who was travelling to Dubai via Doha through a flight, QR-605. The officials recovered 1,100 grams heroin from him. During the initial interrogation, Zaidi said the drug had been provided by a national-flag carrier loader, Muhammad Faizan, in the washroom of the departure lounge. The officials also arrested the alleged facilitator at the airport.
