ANF foils Rs 20m heroin smuggling at Lahore airport

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), in its stern action at Allama Iqbal International Airport, has failed an attempt to smuggle a big quantity of heroin to a gulf state.

According to sources, heroin worth Rs 20 million has been recovered from a passenger at the Lahore airport during an action.

The sources said that the passengers named Mushtaq Ahmed hailed from Gujrat and intended to smuggle the narcotics to a foreign country. The luggage of the passenger was checked after which more than two kilogram of heroin was recovered from his possession.

The ANF has started special checking at Lahore International airport to control the narcotics smuggling at any level.
